Our system only supports standard ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) characters. “ASCII is a 7-bit character set containing 128 characters. It contains the numbers from 0-9, the upper and lower case English letters from A to Z, and some special characters. The character sets used in modern computers, in HTML, and on the Internet, are all based on ASCII.” – w3schools Most non-English languages use accents and non-standard characters that are outside of ASCII. Anything outside of ASCII is not supported.
Yes! There are legal requirements for text messaging communication. First and foremost, you MUST have prior express written consent from customers before you can send them ongoing marketing messages. These are very strict rules and violation can result in several financial penalties including the potential of class action lawsuits. So let’s be careful and follow the rules. You must provide this written disclaimer language on ALL of your promotional material that promotes your text messaging services.
It depends… You can only message your customers if you’ve first obtained their written consent. A customer can opt-in to a mobile club by texting in to your keyword, filling out a form (online or print), or entering on a digital kiosk. When getting consent, you are required to provide the disclaimer language, as required by Federal laws and carrier guidelines. It is important that this disclaimer is displayed ANYWHERE and EVERYWHERE you are promoting your mobile club or capturing a phone number for messaging.
Message credits do NOT roll over. Any unused message credits will expire one month after they are issued.
